Infusion Patient Assistance Program Specialist

Responsibilities:

The Patient Assistance Program Specialist reports to the Regional Director of Home Infusion and Patient Access. This role has the primary responsibility to perform all operational activities to assist infusion patients with financial assistance needs. This role identifies infusion patients who are uninsured or underinsured and assists the patient to enroll in available programs to help with co-insurance responsibilities. Ensures all patient assistance activity is compliant with state, federal and regulatory laws and standards.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. 1 year of experience in infusion or hospital pharmacy

3. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and leadership skills are required.

4. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills are required.

Preferred qualification:

1. Expertise in 340B program operations and compliance.
2. Proficiency in Caretend electronic medical records (EMR) system.
3. Knowledge of outpatient pharmacy revenue cycle as it relates to prescription and medical benefits.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $16.00 to $23.17. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
