Injection Molding Supervisor- 3rd SHIFT

Overview

3rd SHIFT - Injection Molding Supervisor, where you'll lead and oversee the daily operations of our injection molding processes. This role is vital in ensuring high-quality production, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous process improvements. As a key leader on the manufacturing floor, you'll coordinate with team members to meet production goals efficiently while upholding our commitment to safety and quality excellence.

Duties

• Supervise and manage the injection molding team, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules on 3rd shift 11pm to 7am, Monday - Friday.
• Oversee setup, operation, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines to optimize performance and maintain product quality
• Enforce safety protocols in accordance with industry standards and company policies, promoting a safe working environment
• Conduct regular inspections of both machines and parts hourly.
• Coordinate machine repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Lead process improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
• Train team members on proper use of equipment, safety procedures, and best practices in mechanical assembly and manual handling as well as quality control.

Skills

• Experienced Plastic Mold injection crew chief/supervisor necessary.
• Ability to manage production or assembly teams effectively while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Experience with newer Haitian machines along with older Arburg and Van Dorn machinery a plus.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing injection molding operations and reducing cycle times
• Mechanical assembly skills combined with technical proficiency in troubleshooting machinery issues

Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
