Injection Molding Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Injection Molding Technician who will support the technical process activities of the production plant with processes including injection molding, mold changes, plastics decorating, and automated/manual plastics assembly processes, robot programming and maintenance. Other activities will include supporting continuous improvement initiatives and automation activities. The selected candidate will have a proven ability in participating in technical activities and directing those activities through to production.

Responsibilities

• Write, modify, and debug robot programs for injection molding machinery
• Write and modify injection molding machine programs
• Troubleshoot molding technical issues related to the injection molding process
• Change out molds between each job run. This entails removing molds and installing
• Identify opportunities for process improvements through automation and support enhancements to increase productivity and quality
• Analyze production data and performance metrics to optimize manufacturing processes
• Recommendations to various teams including design, production, and quality control to ensure KPI’s are met
• Support the launch of new molds and automation projects
• Stay updated with the latest machine and robot software
• Propose innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that processes meet quality standards and specifications
• Support quality checks and measures
• Maintenance as needed. This may require hands on or outside vendors
• Support and assure daily production goals are met
• Lead mold and material changeovers
• Prioritize the production of quality products, ensuring customer standards are met
• Maintain the workplace cleanliness and positive environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing supervision or a similar leadership role within a production environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Familiarity with safety standards in production settings, including PPE use and heavy lifting safety practices.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations applicable to manufacturing industries.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to motivate teams and coordinate with cross-functional departments.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the role.

Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour
