Injection Molding Technician

Injection Molding Technician – Full-Time (4pm-Midnight Shift)

We are currently seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Injection Molding Technician to join our Rockhard Tools team in Brighton, MI. This is a full-time position; the successful candidate must be comfortable working independently while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our injection molding department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently operate and monitor injection molding machines and all related auxiliary equipment to produce plastic parts safely and efficiently.
• Perform machine start-up, shutdown, and emergency stop procedures with full understanding of safety protocols. Tool and color changes as required.
• Assist with packaging operations, including flexing, trimming, and preparing boxes as products exit the conveyor.
• Accurately weigh, label, store finished goods, order fulfillment
• Lift and stack cartons weighing up to 36 lbs. as required throughout the shift.

Training Duties:

• Provide thorough hands-on training for new employees (when applicable) on equipment use and safety protocols.
• Demonstrate proper operation of injection molding machines and all auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure new hires understand and can safely operate machinery, including emergency stop procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience with injection molding equipment with 10+ years of experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work through problems independently.
• Reliable, self-motivated individual capable of managing tasks without direct supervision.
• Effective communication skills for reporting production updates and equipment issues.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
