Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to join our manufacturing team on 3rd Shift. This is a hands-on position responsible for injection molding machine setup, mold changes, process startup, troubleshooting, process optimization, and maintaining consistent production of high-quality molded parts.

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to independently troubleshoot molding, tooling, machine, and quality issues are essential.

Our facility is air conditioned, and this position works a consistent Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM schedule with weekends off.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform injection molding machine setups and mold changes according to production schedules.
• Install and properly connect molds, water lines, hydraulic circuits, hot runner systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform production startups and verify that machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment are operating correctly.
• Troubleshoot injection molding processes, machines, molds, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Communicate production status, process concerns, quality issues, and equipment problems during shift handoffs.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other team members to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Injection Molding Equipment

Experience with the following equipment is a plus:

• Milacron/ROBOshot
• ARBURG
• Sumitomo
• Hot runner systems
• Automation and auxiliary equipment

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Injection Molding Process Technician, Injection Molding Technician, Setup Technician, Mold Setup Technician, or similar manufacturing position.
• Hands-on experience performing injection molding machine setups and mold changes.
• Ability to independently start up and troubleshoot injection molding presses.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently on 3rd Shift in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scientific molding principles.
• Experience with Milacron, ROBOshot, ARBURG, or Sumitomo injection molding machines.
• Experience with electric, hydraulic, or hybrid injection molding machines.
• Experience with hot runner systems.
• Experience with robotics, automation, and injection molding auxiliary equipment.

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM

• Consistent overnight schedule
• Weekends off
• Air-conditioned manufacturing facility

Pay

$25.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
