Injection moulding head

Role Title: Head – Injection Moulding / Plant Operations Head / Production Head

Reporting To: Director, General Manager, Top Management

Experience Required: 12-18+ years

Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Plastics Engineering

Salary: Negotiable

Job Location: Kathmandu, Nepal

Key Responsibilities

· Production & Operations Management

o Drive daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and plan capacity utilization.

o Oversee Production Planning and Control (PPC), material flow, and on-time dispatch.

o Manage shop-floor operations, shift teams, and line-level supervisors.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure adherence to industry standards like ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

Drive rejection rate reduction, Customer PPM improvements, and root-cause analysis (CAPA, 8D, FMEA).

Handle customer audits and supplier/vendor quality requirements.

Maintenance & Tool Room

Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines and auxiliaries (chillers, dryers, thermolators).

Coordinate with the tool room for mould trials, quick mould changes, and maintenance.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Control

Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).

Optimize cycle times, reduce plastic scrap, and manage departmental budgets.

New Product Development (NPD)

Lead trials, sample approvals, PPAP/APQP documentation, and mass-production ramp-up for new parts.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

· Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in plastic resin properties (ABS, PP, PC, Nylon, etc.), scientific moulding principles, and machine parameters (pressure, speed, temperature, clamping force).

· Quality Tools: FMEA, SPC (Statistical Process Control), MSA, Control Plans, and PPAP/APQP.

· Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel.

· Soft Skills: Strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, crisis management, and vendor/customer-handling capability.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) & Machine Utilization

· On-Time Delivery (OTD) percentage

· Rejection & Rework rates (Internal PPM & Customer PPM)

· Production Plan Achievement (%)

· Safety & 5S audit scores

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
