Injection Moulding Operator

INJECTION MOULDING

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, set up, and optimise injection moulding parameters to achieve desired quality and productivity.
• Review part and mould designs (2D/3D) and provide DFM (Design for Manufacturability) feedback.
• Troubleshoot moulding defects (flash, sink, short shot, warpage, etc.) and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with the tool room and design teams for mould trials, validation, and improvements.
• Conduct new mould trials, qualification, and part approval (PPAP).
• Maintain and monitor moulding machines, auxiliaries, and moulds for efficient operation.
• Support cost reduction, cycle time improvement, and yield enhancement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and quality records.
• Ensure adherence to safety, 5S, and ISO/TS quality standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• 4 8 Years Hands-on experience in injection moulding machines
• Strong knowledge of plastic materials and their moulding behaviour.
• Exposure to mould design, gate type selection, and cooling system design.
• Proficient in using SolidWorks / AutoCAD for part and mould design reviews.
• Experience with DOE, process capability, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in automotive / consumer electronics / medical plastic components.
• Exposure to insert moulding, two-shot moulding, or overholding processes.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen techniques.
