Injection moulding supervisor

Supervise day-to-day moulding and production operations, ensuring machines run to the approved production plan.

 Set up and monitor moulding machines, including mould installation, process parameters, and start-up checks, as qualified.

 Ensure operators follow job cards, process sheets, work instructions, and customer-specific requirements.

 Monitor key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, cycle time, and material drying conditions.

 Check first-off and in-process samples for dimensional accuracy, appearance, and other specified quality criteria.

 Coordinate mould changes, machine adjustments, and trial runs with the production, toolroom, and maintenance teams.

 Identify defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, and burn marks; contain affected parts and escalate process issues.

 Ensure correct material identification, batch traceability, colour matching, and handling of regrind or rejected material as per procedure.

 Maintain production records, inspection results, downtime logs, rejection data, and shift handover reports.

 Enforce machine safety, mould-handling practices, preventive maintenance checks, and housekeeping in the production area.
