Ink Technician

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Ink Technician to join a busy cardboard packaging company based in Māngere. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in ink preparation, colour matching and working within a manufacturing or packaging environment. You will play an important role in ensuring ink is prepared correctly and that production runs smoothly while maintaining high-quality standards. The role is Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work available when required.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, mix and manage inks for cardboard packaging production
• Match colours to meet job specifications and quality requirements
• Monitor ink consistency and make adjustments when needed
• Work closely with machine operators and the production team to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Ensure ink materials and equipment are handled, stored and maintained correctly

About you

• Previous experience as an Ink Technician or in a similar printing or packaging role
• Experience with ink mixing, colour matching and ink preparation
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• A reliable work ethic and good time management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A strong commitment to health and safety
• Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays when required
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
