100% Remote | Contract-to-Hire** HIMpros is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder for a fully remote contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our healthcare clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a coder who enjoys complex inpatient coding and has experience working with both Epic and Solventum (3M).

What You'll Be Doing

• Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Ensure accurate MS-DRG assignment and compliance with official coding guidelines.
• Analyze documentation to support accurate code selection and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with CDI and coding teams to resolve documentation and coding questions.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting coding turnaround times.
• Stay current on coding guideline updates and regulatory changes.

What We're Looking For

• Active AHIMA certification required (CCS, RHIT, or RHIA).
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient coding experience.
• Recent experience using Epic and Solventum (3M) required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRGs, and inpatient coding guidelines.
• Experience coding for acute care hospitals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
