Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support while assisting them with their purchases. You will be responsible for managing sales transactions, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product inquiries and recommendations.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales counter, ensuring all products are displayed effectively.
• Utilize POS systems to process sales transactions efficiently.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales volume.
• Perform basic math calculations to assist with retail math tasks such as inventory counts and sales reporting.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong cash handling skills and familiarity with cash registers or POS systems.
• Basic math skills to perform retail calculations accurately.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to upselling and promoting products to meet customer needs.
• preferred is a plus.
• Construction experience is a plus.
