Inside Sales and Branch Administrator

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and looking for an opportunity to grow into a sales career? Richards Building Supply is seeking an Inside Sales & Branch Administrator to play a vital role in our branch operations. This position will begin with a strong focus on administrative and operational support, ensuring the branch runs smoothly, while providing opportunities to expand into inside sales responsibilities as training progresses.

What You'll Do

Branch Administration & Operations

• Review and process customer invoices to ensure pricing accuracy and order completeness.
• Receive and reconcile vendor shipments, confirming quantities and costs are entered correctly.
• Research and resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
• Process customer returns and ensure credits are issued accurately and promptly.
• Manage incoming and outgoing branch credits.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with operational reporting and documentation.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and other departments to resolve issues efficiently.

Inside Sales & Customer Support

As training progresses, you'll have the opportunity to grow into additional sales responsibilities, including:

• Assisting customers in person and over the phone with product selection and order placement.
• Building strong relationships with contractors, builders, and other industry professionals.
• Supporting Outside Sales Representatives with customer needs and project coordination.
• Processing sales orders, checking inventory availability, and coordinating product transfers.
• Promoting new products, special offers, and company programs.

What We're Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with pricing, invoices, and order information.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs.
• Previous experience in administrative support, customer service, retail, distribution, construction, or sales is preferred.
• Building materials industry experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
