Inside Sales Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Inside Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic sales team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Sales Manager and sales team in daily operations and activities related to marketing and sales programs at SMI Homes. If you have a background and/or knowledge in general construction, this role may be right for you. As a Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks assigned by the Sales Manager. You'll work closely with the SMI sales team, dealers, drafting, production, service and other team members to make the sales tasks run smoothly, efficiently, and more productively.

Duties

• Quote/Price homes as directed by the Sales Manager
• Answer all overflow calls for the Sales Team
• Take customer orders as needed when sales team is not available
• Compile information for Home of the Month/Option of the Month
• Assist in costing as needed when directed by the Sales Manager
• Check account receivables for past-due amounts. Report problems to the Sales Manager
• Assist in the training of new salesmen
• Build sample boards and track distribution of samples to dealers
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, and product offerings to identify new opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment effectively & prioritize work efficiently
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Word & Excel
• Sales support & customer service experience are a plus
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
