What they need

Inside Sales Executive

Shanghai, China | Full-time | Reports to: Regional Sales Director, Asia

About us

Global Aviation Co. is an aerospace distribution company with more than 25 years of service to airlines, MROs and helicopter operators worldwide. From our Atlanta headquarters and regional offices in Amsterdam, São José dos Campos and Shanghai, we supply spare parts and tailored supply-chain solutions to customers across more than 100 countries.

Asia is one of our fastest-growing markets. To support that growth and strengthen our back-end sales operation, we are recruiting one Inside Sales Executive for our Shanghai office.

The role in a nutshell

Inside Sales is the engine room of our business. You are the person our airline and MRO customers deal with day to day: you turn their requests for quotation into competitive offers, you convert offers into orders, and you make sure every order lands on time. It is a hands-on, detail-driven role with a lot of customer contact and a lot of internal coordination — and it is the natural first step towards a senior commercial position with us.

What you will do

  • Handle customer inquiries — Respond quickly and accurately to RFQs from airlines, MROs and operators across Asia and South-East Asia, using our global product portfolio and pricing guidelines to prepare quotations and simple product solutions; sourcing from third party suppliers as needed.
  • Manage orders from receipt to delivery — Process orders end to end: entry, review, confirmation, delivery follow-up and closing. Chase what needs chasing so promised dates are met.
  • Keep the pipeline visible — Keep every RFQ and order up to date in our CRM system, so status is visible at a glance. Report progress regularly to the regional sales lead and flag risks early rather than late.
  • Coordinate across departments — Work with our purchasing, warehouse, logistics, finance and compliance colleagues in Atlanta, Amsterdam and Shanghai to resolve part specification questions, delivery changes, documentation and payment matters.
  • Communicate proactively — Keep customers informed on lead times, substitutions, certification paperwork and shipment status — clearly, politely and before they have to ask.
  • Support the sales team — Back up our field sales colleagues with quotes, follow-up and account information; share what you learn about customers and competitors with the wider team.
  • Build relationships — through daily emails, apps , as well as warm phone calls with customers. Attend tradeshows ocassionally

The ideal candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university — marketing, international trade, aeronautical engineering, supply chain or a related field is an advantage.
  • Aerospace experience preferred — Preferably around three years plus of work experience in aerospace. Experience at a parts distribution or trading company serving airlines and MROs is what we value most; a strong junior candidate with the right attitude will also be considered.
  • Language —Excellent English, spoken and written — enough to negotiate, write clear commercial correspondence and work daily with colleagues overseas. Mandarin is required; another Asian language is a real plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You are comfortable on the phone and on email with customers and suppliers, and people find you easy to deal with under pressure.
  • Adaptability and common sense. Priorities shift, AOG requests arrive late in the day, and not every situation is covered by a procedure — we need someone who can judge what matters and act on it.
  • Result-oriented with a proven ability to follow up. Nothing gets forgotten on your desk.
  • Accurate and detail-minded with part numbers, quantities, prices and documentation, and comfortable working with numbers and basic data analysis.
  • Skilled with everyday business software — MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Edge; experience with an ERP or CRM system is an advantage.
  • A self-starter and an excellent team player, with high ethical standards and a customer-first mindset.
  • Preferrrably located in Shanghai; candiates of other cities may be considered

What to expect

  • The chance to become part of an international, growing company.
  • The opportunity to grow into a senior commercial position.
  • A competitive base salary and bonus structure.
  • An excellent training programme, including product and industry training.
