In-person Job SummaryJA Cunningham Equipment Co., a well-established welding equipment, industrial gas, and supplies distributor, is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative for our Philadelphia branch. This position serves as a primary point of contact for customers and works closely with our outside sales, purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to provide professional service by phone, email, and at the sales counter. Experience in welding supplies, industrial gases, industrial distribution, construction supplies, automotive parts, or a similar technical industry is preferred but not required. We are willing to train a motivated candidate who has strong customer service skills and is interested in learning our products and industry. Key Responsibilities- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist customers with product questions, pricing, availability, and order status- Enter and process customer orders accurately- Prepare quotes and follow up with customers as needed- Assist customers at the sales counter- Respond to customer emails and general inquiries- Help customers identify the appropriate products and supplies for their needs- Coordinate with outside sales representatives, purchasing, warehouse personnel, and drivers- Communicate product availability, backorders, and delivery information- Maintain accurate customer and order information in the company’s computer system- Assist with invoices, purchase orders, filing, and other routine administrative duties- Develop working knowledge of welding equipment, consumables, industrial gases, safety products, and related supplies- Help resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly- Perform other inside-sales and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications- Previous customer service, inside sales, order-entry, or administrative experience preferred- Industrial, welding, gas, construction-supply, automotive-parts, or similar experience is a plus- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Professional and courteous telephone manner- Good computer and data-entry skills- Ability to learn technical products and terminology- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Ability to manage multiple customer requests and priorities- Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude- High school diploma or equivalent required Compensation- $18.50–$22.50 per hour- Starting pay will be based on relevant experience, product knowledge, and qualifications Benefits- Health insurance- 401(k)- Paid time off- Paid holidays- On-the-job product and industry training Work Environment This is a full-time, in-person position at our Philadelphia branch.
