Brightwater is recruiting an Insider Threat Analyst (Level 1) for a leading global financial services organisation building a brand new Cyber Security team in Dublin, Ireland. This permanent, hybrid role suits a Security Analyst, Insider Risk Analyst, DLP Analyst or Investigations Analyst looking to specialise in insider threat.

About the Position

You’ll help protect the organisation from internal risks, investigating unusual user behaviour, data loss and misuse of access using industry-standard insider risk, DLP, UEBA and SIEM platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor insider risk, DLP (Data Loss Prevention) and UEBA alerts
• Investigate potential insider threat cases and produce clear, objective case reports
• Work with HR, Legal, Compliance and Security on sensitive investigations
• Identify behavioural trends and help improve insider threat detection rules
• Support insider threat policies, playbooks and management reporting
• Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity

Experience/Requirements

• 3–6 years’ experience in security operations, insider risk, investigations, fraud or compliance
• Exposure to DLP, UEBA, insider risk management or SIEM platforms
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written communication for case documentation
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST or data protection (GDPR) is an advantage
