Inspector - Bus Stations

Job Purpose:

Execute operational monitoring, inspections, and data reporting to support safe and efficient bus

depot operations. Assist in resolving service incidents, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and

coordinating with internal teams to maintain service continuity and operational performance.

Roles & Accountabilities:

Operations

• Assess daily, weekly, and monthly operational, safety, and financial performance reports.
• Oversee driver deployment by monitoring distribution, verifying schedule adherence, and

assigning drivers to buses/routes per approved parameters.

• Ensure daily availability and readiness of buses by coordinating maintenance, cleanliness,

fueling, and operational preparation.

• Coordinate operational response during breakdowns, fires, accidents, or driver illness and

ensure activation of alternative arrangements.

• Monitor bus departures, returns, and deployment of emergency replacement vehicles to

avoid service interruptions.

• Manage efficient and safe utilization of bus assets in coordination with the Maintenance and

Services Department.

• Liaise with OCC and controllers to address real-time issues and minimize passenger

disruption.

• Ensure driver availability for scheduled services and allocate buses for events, festivals, and

special requirements.

• Coordinate pricing and deliver buses as per approved schedules.

Product / Process Improvement

• Manage installation and removal of advertisement stickers and ensure alignment with asset

management policies.

• Monitor performance of buses and drivers using operational systems; analyze trends and

support corrective action planning.

• Participate in developing and improving SOPs and operational procedures to enhance

efficiency and consistency.

• Review and contribute to daily/weekly/monthly operational, safety, and financial reporting

for process refinement.

• Track fuel consumption across routes, depots, buses, and drivers; implement measures to

ensure efficiency and target compliance.

• Monitor daily accident checks and driver physical fitness checks conducted in the depot.
• Provide operational data and documentation support to investigation officers.
