About the role

Join SGS, the world's leading testing, inspection and certification company, and play an important role supporting Australia's agricultural export and domestic trade industries. In this hands-on role, you'll conduct inspections of agricultural commodities, ensure compliance with industry and government requirements, and help deliver trusted services to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of agricultural commodity exports and domestic trade shipments
• Perform export commodity inspections in accordance with Trade Assurance Services contracts and regulatory requirements
• Complete accurate inspection reports and documentation within required timeframes
• Liaise with customers to understand and meet their inspection requirements
• Maintain and develop the skills, knowledge and qualifications required for the role

About you

• Organised, reliable and able to work independently
• A strong communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping skills
• Committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement
• Comfortable working in varied environments and performing field-based inspections
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Experience or knowledge within the agricultural industry, commodity inspection, export services or a related sector is highly regarded
• Australian Government Authorised Officer PGG3001 and BVI3001 accreditation is desirable but not essential
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
