FIRE SPRINKLER INSPECTOR

Company Profile: 1st FP Sprinkler Companies, LLC is a privately-owned fire protection company that designs, fabricates, installs, maintains, and inspects fire protection systems in commercial & industrial buildings. We have offices located in San Antonio, Austin, Laredo, McAllen, Waco, Houston, College Station, and Lubbock.

Job Summary: We are looking for a Fire Sprinkler Inspector for our Waco office to be responsible for the testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems, looking for deficiencies, troubleshooting existing conditions, reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals consistent with experience level, and ability to write detailed reports regarding inspection deficiencies.  The ideal candidate will hold a RME-I License.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, testing servicing, installing and preventative maintenance with water-based systems and/or sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and fire codes.
• Perform system tests for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
• Complete service documentation detailing findings as needed.
• Able to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.
• Communicate with Branch Manager on inspection or project delays, requirements, and general status of job to ensure that the customer receives the work per proposed scope.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Clean driving record.
• Knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes and standards for inspection testing and installation.
• RME-I License Required.
• FAL, BPAT, FEL-B, FEL-A, FEL-K preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Ability to work on ladders and lifts up to 50 feet tall.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 2-3 years’ experience inspecting various types of fire sprinkler systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• MS Office (Word & Excel) experience.
