Inspector of Work (Development)

Role Summary:

A Property Developer Inspector of Work is responsible for overseeing the construction and development process of properties to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with building codes and regulations. They work closely with the construction team, contractors, and project managers to conduct inspections and monitor the progress of construction projects.

Job Descriptions

• To assist in Pre-and Post-Inspection Works for Civil and Structural/Mechanical & Electrical/Architectural
• To Supervise and verify the site installations and to ensure that the installations are in accordance with the approval drawings and specifications.
• To witness all tests on materials supplied to site
• To monitor and endorse Contractor’s report on daily activities and site condition
• To attend site meetings where required
• To carry out handover procedures & ensure compliance with contract documents and construction regulations
• Liaise with project team members, including contractors, sub-contractors and authorities on all site matters and interfacing works.
• To regularly report to relevant superiors on the progress of the works and the problem areas
• To ensure all site activities are carried out in compliance with the site safety standard.
• Shall note the site instructions and any other relevant directives onto the drawings used in inspection, to ensure that they are taken into account during inspection.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering, Mechanical, Architecture or equivalent

• Registered IOW with Board of Engineers Malaysia

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

• Must be able to liaise effectively with consultants and contractors.

• Candidate must have sufficient knowledge in Civil and Structural/Mechanical & Electrical/Architectural

  works to supervise and coordinate effectively

• Good command of spoken & written English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Initiative, independent with great teamwork

• Possess own transport

• Work independently

• Required: Registered with CIDB

• Work 6 days basing at site.
