Help us maintain safe, quality homes across Pembrokeshire.

Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking an Inspector – Responsive Repairs to join our Building Maintenance team within Housing & Social Services.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will be responsible for carrying out pre- and post-inspections of responsive repair works across the Council’s housing stock. You will diagnose repair requirements, measure and quantify works, monitor quality standards, and ensure repairs are completed efficiently by both in-house teams and external contractors.

You will work closely with tenants, contractors, and colleagues, providing excellent customer service while helping to deliver high-quality homes for our residents. The role also involves monitoring workmanship, undertaking site risk assessments, using mobile technology to manage inspections, and supporting the wider repairs service when required.

We are looking for someone with relevant construction or trade qualifications, practical site experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills, good IT knowledge, and a full driving licence are essential.

If you have experience within the construction industry, ideally in a social housing environment, and are committed to delivering a first-class repairs service, we would love to hear from you.

Join us and help make a positive difference to homes and communities across Pembrokeshire.
