Installation & Service Technician

Window Treatment Installation & Service Technician

Fashion Windows LLC – West Jordan, Utah
Full-Time | Long-Term Position

Fashion Windows is a family-owned window treatment company serving Utah since 1995. We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to join our team as an Installation & Service Technician.

Window treatment experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person.

This is a great position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, figuring out how things work, troubleshooting problems, and taking pride in doing a job correctly. Experience in construction, maintenance, handyman work, finish carpentry, electrical, low-voltage, appliance installation, garage doors, or other mechanical trades can translate very well into this position.

We are looking for someone who wants more than just their next job. Our goal is to find someone who wants to become part of our team, learn the trade, and build a long-term career with Fashion Windows.

What You'll Do

• Install custom shutters, shades, blinds, drapery, and motorized window treatments
• Diagnose and repair window covering problems
• Troubleshoot motors, remotes, controls, charging systems, and other components
• Perform adjustments and service calls in customers' homes
• Use drills, hand tools, ladders, and other installation equipment
• Work carefully around finished walls, windows, furniture, and high-end homes
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, designers, and our office team
• Help identify solutions when an installation or repair doesn't go exactly as planned
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles

Who We're Looking For

You don't need to know window coverings—we can teach that.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is naturally handy and mechanically inclined
• Enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems
• Knows how to use basic hand and power tools
• Can measure accurately and pay attention to small details
• Is dependable and shows up when expected
• Takes pride in clean, professional work
• Is comfortable working independently
• Is willing to learn new products and technology
• Communicates well with customers
• Wants a stable, long-term position with a growing company

Previous experience in construction, maintenance, installation, carpentry, electrical, low-voltage, home services, or similar hands-on work is a plus, but it is not required.

What Makes This Position Different

We aren't looking for someone to simply hang blinds all day. We want someone who can develop into our go-to installation and service technician—someone who understands our products, can diagnose problems, make repairs, and find solutions in the field.

For the right person, this can become a long-term career with increasing responsibility as their skills and product knowledge grow.

If you're the person friends and family call when something needs to be installed, repaired, adjusted, or figured out, you may be exactly who we're looking for.
