Installation Quality and Standards Lead

Position Summary

Sets the installation quality standard and checks that it is met. Works independently of the installer team so inspections stay objective. Investigates every failure, finds the root cause, and turns the fix into an updated standard so backjobs keep falling.

Duties and Responsibilities

Standards

• Own the installation quality standard: acceptance criteria per device type and per vehicle model.
• Maintain the installation checklists, inspection forms and photo-documentation requirements.
• Keep the Master Installation and Removal Manual current with every approved change.

Inspection and audits

• Audit a set sample of completed installations each week, on site or through photo review.
• Inspect 100% of installations for new clients, new vehicle models and large rollouts.
• Score each installer and crew against the standard and share results.

Root-cause analysis and correction

• Investigate every backjob and client complaint tied to installation.
• Classify causes: workmanship, procedure gap, device defect, vehicle condition or configuration.
• Issue corrective and preventive actions and verify they worked.

Training support

• Turn audit findings into targeted retraining for specific installers or crews.
• Prepare quick-reference guides and visual job aids for common failure points.

Reporting

• Maintain a backjob and defect log with trends by cause, installer, device, vehicle model and client.
• Present a monthly quality report with findings, actions taken and open issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Industrial or Automotive Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years in vehicle electronics, telematics or automotive electrical work, with 1+ year in a QA/QC role.
• Working knowledge of root-cause tools such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams and Pareto analysis.
• Strong eye for detail and comfortable giving direct feedback to installers.
• Good report writing and spreadsheet skills.

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php27,000.00 per month
