Position Summary

Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Entry-Level Installation Technician will work alongside a Senior Installation Technician to support the installation of TORMAX automatic door systems throughout the Greater Vancouver Area, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan region.

This role is ideal for an individual looking to build a long-term career in the entrance automation industry. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, wiring, and commissioning of TORMAX automatic door systems.
• Learn and retain TORMAX installation procedures, product knowledge, and safety standards.
• Work closely with Senior Installation Technicians on projects throughout British Columbia.
• Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools.
• Professionally represent TORMAX while interacting with customers, contractors, project managers, and site personnel.
• Communicate customer concerns, site conditions, and project updates promptly to management.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance by wearing company-issued work apparel.
• Report to the TORMAX Langley branch at the beginning and end of each scheduled workday.
• Maintain punctual attendance and reliability for scheduled shifts and project assignments.
• Be willing to work additional hours, when required, to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth and development toward becoming a fully qualified Installation Technician.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
• Steel-toed safety boots.
• Basic experience using hand and power tools (minimum 1 year preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working at various commercial construction and renovation sites.
• Previous construction, mechanical, electrical, or installation experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
