Installations and Asset Controller

Role Purpose

The Installations & Asset Controller is responsible for managing and controlling the end-to-end lifecycle of merchant installations, changes and related company assets. The role ensures the seamless coordination of installations from initial setup through to completion, while maintaining accurate control and reconciliation of stock and assets.

This includes coordinating with internal teams, installers and merchants, ensuring the timely movement, allocation, tracking and recording of equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

The role plays a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, high service standards, effective asset utilisation and the minimisation of stock losses, discrepancies and damage.

Key Responsibilities

Installations & Merchant Projects

• Manage new site installations end-to-end, including:
• Site setup and system configuration
• Merchant and internal communications
• Managing and coordinating installers
• Billing setup and verification
• Courtesy and follow-up calls to merchants
• Handle merchant changes end-to-end, ensuring minimal disruption and accurate system updates
• Coordinate and manage equipment upgrades from initiation to completion
• Process merchant closures end-to-end, including system updates, asset recovery, and billing adjustments

Ad-hoc & Operational Requests

• Action ad-hoc merchant requests such as:
• Other configuration or system updates as required

Asset Management

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of equipment and assets, from receipt, registration and storage through to allocation, installation, transfer, repair, return, rental or disposal
• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records, ensuring all stock movements, transfers and lifecycle changes are recorded and traceable
• Co-ordinate stock and equipment requirements with internal teams, suppliers, installers and external parties, ensuring equipment is available and prepared for collection, delivery, installation or dispatch
• Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies, losses and damaged equipment.
• Ensure effective asset and stock control in line with company policies and procedures, including the secure storage, handling and management of equipment.
• Collect orders from external suppliers e.g. pinpads

Requirements

• Qualification in Project Management / Administration will be an advantage
• 3-5 years experience in asset management, stores control, inventory, or operations technical support environments
• Experience within the Fintech industries will be an advantage
• Proven history working with recognised systems such as Trello, Google Workspace (Gmail, Meet, Docs and Sheets) and Teams for Virtual Meetings.
• Proven history working with asset management systems

Pay: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
