Job Overview

This two-person team is responsible for safely driving a box truck and efficiently delivering, unpacking, and installing major household appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges). The team provides premium in-home customer service, handles haul-aways of old units, and ensures all plumbing/electrical connections are leak-free and functional.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving & Navigation: Safely operate a commercial box truck (non-CDL) to navigate daily routes.
• Safe Handling & Lifting: Work as a team using dollies, ramps, and straps to move, load, and unload heavy appliances without causing property damage.
• Installation & Testing: Perform basic connections (e.g., water lines for ice-makers, gas/electric ranges, washer hoses) and test the units to ensure they work properly.
• Customer Service: Walk customers through basic appliance operations and ensure they are satisfied before leaving the premises.
• Haul Away: Safely disconnect and remove old appliances for disposal or recycling.

Candidate Requirements

• Age Limit: Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience: Minimum 1+ years of proven experience in large-item delivery and residential appliance installation.
• Driver’s License: Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Record check required).
• Physical Strength: Ability to repeatedly lift, bend, squat, and carry heavy items (75 - 300+ lbs) throughout the day.
• Mechanical & Technical Aptitude: Working knowledge of basic household plumbing, electrical systems, and hand tools.

Example of the Team Dynamic in Action

• Arrival: The team arrives at a customer's home in a 26ft box truck. The Driver finalizes the paperwork, while the Helper sets up protective floor runners and unboxes the new appliance.
• Placement: Together, they use a heavy-duty appliance dolly to navigate tight doorways and stairs.
• Installation: The Driver handles the electrical cords and anti-tip brackets, while the Helper connects the water lines and checks for leaks.
• Completion: The team powers on the appliance, ensures normal operation, and hauls the customer's old unit out to the truck.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $311.55 - $411.98 per day
