HVAC Installer / Service TechnicianThermo-Pro Mechanical Ltd. — Greater Toronto AreaJob Type: Full-time
Thermo-Pro Mechanical Ltd. is a growing HVAC company serving residential and light commercial clients across the GTA. Our work includes custom homes, renovations, equipment replacements, service and maintenance.
We’re looking for an experienced HVAC Installer / Service Technician who takes pride in clean work, can troubleshoot problems, and works well with a small team. You’ll work directly with the owners on a variety of projects, with room to take on more responsibility as the company grows.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing and replacing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps and ductless systems.
- Installing HRVs/ERVs, gas piping, venting, thermostats and controls.
- Completing sheet metal and ductwork installations and modifications.
- Diagnosing and repairing heating, cooling, airflow and control issues.
- Performing maintenance, equipment startups and operational testing.
- Assisting with boilers, combi systems, in-floor radiant heating and snow-melt installations.
- Reading mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturer instructions.
- Recording service findings, work completed and materials used.
- Communicating professionally with homeowners, builders and other trades.
- Keeping work areas clean and helping guide apprentices.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous hands-on HVAC installation and service experience.
- Valid Ontario G2 gas technician certification or higher.
- Refrigeration and air conditioning trade certification or registered apprenticeship status is an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and a good driving record.
- Ability to complete assigned work independently and recognize when support is needed.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to installation quality.
- Reliability, clear communication and respect for clients’ homes and jobsites.
- Commitment to safe work practices and applicable installation requirements.
Experience with hydronics, boilers, custom sheet metal, ductless systems or light commercial equipment is an asset. If you’re stronger in installation than service—or vice versa—we still encourage you to apply and tell us where your experience fits.
Why Join Thermo-Pro?
- Varied work across residential and light commercial projects.
- Direct access to experienced owners who work in the field.
- Opportunities to build skills in service, controls and hydronic systems.
- A small team where your workmanship and contribution matter.
- Room to grow into a lead installer or service-focused role.
Compensation
[Insert hourly pay range] based on experience, qualifications and ability to work independently.
How to Apply
