About the role

Harlequin Signs is Under New Management and is seeking a full-time Fabricator & Installer to join our growing team at our Slacks Creek, QLD location. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of signage and related installations for our clients across the region. This is a key position that directly impacts our reputation for quality workmanship and client satisfaction. You will work on-site at various client locations, requiring a willingness to travel and work in diverse environments.

What you'll be doing

• Install signs, advertising materials, and related fixtures at client locations according to specifications and safety standards
• Measure, cut, and prepare materials for installation
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Follow technical drawings and installation plans accurately
• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on existing signage installations
• Ensure all work sites are kept clean and safe, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients
• Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites
• Document completed work and maintain accurate records
• No same day is the same

What we're looking for

• Training will be provided to the right candidate
• Proven experience as an installer or in a similar trades role within the signage, construction, or related industry would be beneficial
• Strong knowledge of hand and power tools, and how to use them safely and effectively
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Physical fitness and capability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when necessary
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• Current White Card (or willingness to obtain) or equivalent health and safety certification
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client interactions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Blue card Working With Children
• CNC router or willingness to learn
• Wide commercial printer or willingness to learn
• CorelDraw or willingness to learn
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
