At SIXT New Zealand, we're committed to delivering premium mobility experiences and exceptional customer service. We're looking for a customer-focused Instant Return Agent to join our team and play a key role in creating a seamless and professional vehicle return experience.

As the first and last point of contact in the rental car park, you'll help ensure every customer leaves with a positive impression while supporting our operations team to keep vehicles moving efficiently through the rental process.

About the Role

The Instant Return Agent supports both the counter and wash bay teams by managing vehicle returns, assisting customers, and ensuring our fleet is accurately assessed and prepared for the next customer.

You'll spend your day interacting with customers, inspecting vehicles, managing car park movements, and contributing to the premium Sixt experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers returning and collecting vehicles in the rental car park
• Conduct vehicle returns with customers present and explain any required processes
• Accurately identify and document vehicle damage using company systems
• Capture vehicle condition photos in accordance with SIXT procedures
• Identify vehicles requiring maintenance, fuel, servicing, COF or RUC attention
• Ensure damaged or unserviceable vehicles are separated from rentable fleet
• Communicate return information accurately to the counter team
• Assist customers with vehicle features, equipment, and general enquiries
• Support positive customer satisfaction scores through exceptional service
• Work closely with the Wash Bay Supervisor and operations team
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the SIXT brand
• Follow all health, safety, and operational procedures

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering great service, and has a keen eye for detail. You'll bring:

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Strong attention to detail
• Confidence interacting with customers face-to-face
• The ability to identify vehicle damage and maintenance concerns
• Good organisational and time management skills
• A team-focused approach and willingness to support others
• A full, clean driver's licence

Experience in customer service, tourism, hospitality, vehicle rental, or automotive environments will be highly regarded.
