Instructional Assistant Apprentice

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Instructional Assistant Apprentice to join our dynamic educational team. This paid apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting classroom instruction and fostering a positive learning environment for young children. As an Instructional Assistant Apprentice, you will work closely with lead teachers and specialists to implement engaging lesson plans, support students' developmental needs, and contribute to a nurturing atmosphere that promotes growth, curiosity, and confidence. The apprenticeship is a two-year commitment in which the candidate will receive a certification in education.

Duties

• Assist lead teachers in planning and executing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies
• Work directly with children to promote social skills, emotional regulation, and active engagement in learning activities
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and development
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education and care

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and a strong interest in early childhood education or related fields
• Basic knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt activities to meet individual student needs
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple responsibilities with enthusiasm
