Instructional Assistant

Western Nursing Services is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support learning and improve training experiences for students and staff in a fast-paced healthcare education environment.

Position Summary

The Instructional Assistant provides day-to-day support to instructors and contributes to a smooth, engaging learning environment. This role assists with preparing instructional materials, supporting learners during training, and ensuring activities run efficiently and professionally.

Working onsite in Cincinnati, OH, the Instructional Assistant helps reinforce course objectives through hands-on support, clear communication, and attention to learner needs while maintaining a respectful and inclusive training atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist instructors with preparation and organization of instructional materials, equipment, and classroom resources
• Support learners during training sessions by answering questions, clarifying instructions, and reinforcing key concepts
• Help coordinate and monitor learning activities to ensure schedules, expectations, and learning outcomes are met
• Maintain accurate records related to attendance, progress, and training materials as assigned
• Support a clean, orderly, and safe learning environment consistent with program and workplace standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in a related area is a plus
• Experience supporting learners or delivering instructional support in an educational or training environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and professionally
• Ability to work onsite in Cincinnati, OH and support full-time scheduling needs
• Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and a team-oriented work style

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare education or training setting
• Familiarity with instructional workflows such as lesson preparation, learning activities, and learner support
• Experience maintaining learner records and supporting program documentation
• Comfort working with diverse groups of learners and adapting support to different needs
• Prior experience assisting in clinical or skills-based training environments
