Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining effective learning

solutions aligned with organizational and business requirements.

The role partners with Subject Matter Experts, HR, Operations, and business stakeholders to transform

business processes, systems, policies, and technical information into engaging learning experiences and

practical training materials.

Job Responsibilities

● Design instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning programs.

Conduct learning needs analysis and identify knowledge or skill gaps.

● Develop learning objectives, course outlines, storyboards, and learning activities.

● Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

● Translate complex business information into learner-friendly content.

● Develop facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, presentations, assessments, and e-learning

content.

● Develop knowledge checks, quizzes, simulations, and other assessments.

● Create engaging and interactive learning experiences.

● Partner with Subject Matter Experts to develop training content.

● Collaborate with HR, Operations, and business leaders to understand training requirements.

● Coordinate with the LMS Administrator for course deployment.

● Review learner feedback and training outcomes.

● Update training materials when processes, systems, policies, or requirements change.

● Maintain version control and training documentation.

Required Qualifications & Characteristics

● Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Psychology, Communications, Human

Resources, or related field.

● 2+ years of instructional design or corporate learning experience.

● Experience developing training programs for US-based clients or organizations preferred.

● Experience developing training materials for UKG or other enterprise HR systems preferred.

● Experience working with US-based Subject Matter Experts and business stakeholders preferred.

● Experience developing instructor-led and e-learning content.

● Knowledge of adult learning principles.

● Experience with instructional design/authoring tools preferred.

● Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.

● Strong project management and organizational skills.
