Instructional Designer

Role Overview

The Instructional Designer II is responsible for designing and developing scalable learning experiences that support commercial teams across the merchant lifecycle. This role combines instructional design, enablement content development, and systems and tooling learning support, to drive learner readiness, process adoption, and business impact.

This individual will create learner-centered training experiences across multiple commercial roles and workflows,

including acquisition, account management, operational processes, and systems adoption.

The ideal candidate is a strong instructional designer who is passionate about building engaging, practical, and scalable learning solutions that improve performance and confidence in role.

Key Responsibilities

● Apply adult learning and instructional design principles to create engaging, learner-centered enablement

experiences.

● Design and develop training content including:

○ Facilitator guides

○ Learning paths

○ Playbooks

○ Job aids

○ Process documentation

○ Interactive activities

○ Demo walkthroughs

○ Certifications and assessments

● Build enablement content grounded in real commercial workflows and business scenarios.

● Author, edit, review, and maintain learning materials ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy.

● Adapt learning experiences for multiple audiences, regions, and modalities (virtual, live, async).

● Translate commercial processes and workflows into intuitive, learner-friendly training materials.

● Support systems adoption and proficiency initiatives, including CRM and operational tooling enablement.

● Create clear documentation and learning resources that simplify complex tools, workflows, and operational

processes.

● Partner cross-functionally with enablement, operations, and business stakeholders to support process

understanding and adoption.

● Facilitate reinforcement activities, peer discussions, and learner support moments.

● Continuously iterate on content, learning journeys, and instructional approaches based on learner and business

needs.

● Maintain learning repositories, version control, translations, certifications, and content updates.

● Ensure learning materials remain current, accessible, and aligned to evolving business priorities.

● Support scalable global rollout efforts

Required Qualifications

● 2–5 years of experience in Instructional Design, Sales Enablement, Learning Experience Design, or Sales Training.

● Formal education, certification, or training in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Learning Experience Design, or related disciplines.

● Experience designing learning programs for commercial, customer-facing, operational, or systems-based roles.

● Strong instructional design and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging

learning experiences.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Experience creating learner-centered documentation, training materials, and enablement resources.

● Ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, evolving environments.

● Proficiency with learning and content tools such as:

○ Google Slides

○ Rise

○ Articulate

○ Seismic

○ Captivate

○ Figma

○ LMS platforms or related enablement systems

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience supporting CRM or systems enablement initiatives (e.g., Salesforce or related tools).

● Experience facilitating virtual or live learning sessions.

● Background in GTM, revenue enablement, sales operations, customer success, or commercial enablement

environments.

● Experience using learning analytics or performance data to improve enablement effectiveness.

● Ability to adapt learning experiences for regional or culturally diverse audiences.

● Language fluency in Spanish, Japanese, French, German, or Traditional Chinese/Taiwanese is a plus.
