Instructor & Developer

Overview:

Stronghold University is the full-service training function supporting The Stronghold Companies, Evergreen Industrial Services, and GEM Specialized Services. We lead the industry in rigorous craft and leadership training. Stronghold invests heavily in highly skilled, cross-trained craftspeople and state-of-the-art equipment to support the needs of Stronghold, Evergreen, and GEM. Responsibilities:

The Instructor and Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in La Porte, Tx at Stronghold University. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering instructional content that supports technical proficiency and leadership growth while meeting regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include partnering with subject matter experts to create curricula and training materials, facilitating classroom and workshop sessions, assessing learner performance, and continuously improving courses based on feedback and industry standards. The Instructor and Developer collaborates with subject matter experts and company leadership to align programs with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Process mapping and improvement mindset
• Ability to design and develop instructional materials, curricula, and training programs using established instructional design methodologies.
• Presentation and communication skills
• Familiarity with regulations and regulating bodies (OSHA, NFPA, ASTM, ASME, etc.)
• Experience with learning technologies and tools (e.g., LMS platforms, digital content creation, blended learning methods) is highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated capability in evaluating learner performance, providing constructive feedback, and adjusting content
• Experience with one or more of the following: Industrial Cleaning (Hydroblasting & Vacuuming), Bolting & Torquing, Rigging, Cranes, Mobile & Heavy Equipment Operation, Catalyst changeout, CPR/First Aid/AED, Rescue OR other technical expertise relevant to the Stronghold Companies, GEM Specialized Services, and/or Evergreen Industrial Services
• Knowledge of refinery, petrochemical, or midstream operations, data centers, or related industrial sectors.
