Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Security Licensed Instructor, where you will play a vital role in training and certifying security professionals to uphold safety standards across various environments. Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and online instruction to security license candidates, covering essential topics such as security procedures, legal responsibilities, emergency response, and access control
• Develop and update detailed lesson plans aligned with licensing standards and industry best practices
• Assess trainee progress through evaluations, practical exercises, and examinations to ensure competency before licensing approval
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and certification status in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technology platforms
• Provide personalized tutoring and support to students needing additional assistance with course material or technical concepts
• Stay current with changes in security laws, licensing requirements, and industry trends to ensure training content remains relevant and compliant
• Collaborate with other instructors and stakeholders to enhance curriculum quality and instructional methods

Requirements

• Valid security instructor license or equivalent certification recognized by relevant authorities
• Proven experience in security operations or law enforcement with a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching or training adults in technical subjects such as computer networking, web development, programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, R), or related fields
• Proficiency with LMS platforms like Blackboard or similar learning technology tools for online instruction and course management
• Strong knowledge of software development concepts including HTML, CSS, React, Node.js, React Express, and JavaScript frameworks
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
• Experience in higher education teaching or technical training environments preferred
• Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities and real-world applications
• Technical proficiency in working with various programming languages and web development tools is highly desirable
