Instructor for multiple subjects (High School)

Counsel Academy requires contract (1099) role for online Instructors on a ongoing basis for different high school subjects at AP level. The subjects that we are looking for urgent hiring are: AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP English (Lang and Lit), and other humanities subjects. Some special teachers are also required for training students for national Olympiads. These roles are on call basis, depending on the enrollment of students. The role involves covering the exam syllabus, extensive testing and offering reviews, teaching students to think and approach challenging problems critically, teaching effective test taking strategies, assessing student progress, providing feedback through live online sessions. We are looking to onboard two online instructors. Candidates MUST be US citizens or green card holders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficiency in the subjects of expertise with at least a Bachelor's degree
• 2 years of experience in teaching relevant AP subjects
• Coach students for AP exams specifically.
• Ability to teach students to think critically and approach challenging questions, create schedules, conduct mock tests and offer reviews to students
• Experience in online teaching and virtual classroom management: Google Classroom
• Must be able to independently conduct online classes without supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in training high school students for USA Biolympiad, National Science Olympiads, USAPhO (Physics Olympiad), Physics Bowl, Chemistry olympiad.
• Creating quizzes and exam material as per needs

Counsel Academy is an educational startup offering live online academic support to students in Grades 3-12, focusing on STE(A)M education. Our STEM programs cover Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, Coding, while also emphasizing Art and Communication through creative writing, public speaking, and debates. We just started supporting students in humanities subjects as well. We provide academic and career counseling, test preparation services, and unpaid internship opportunities for high school and undergrad students. Counsel Academy strives to bring the the quality of STEM education and career counseling of private school quality to the students in public schools, who cannot afford private school education.
