About Mini Courses:
Norris Mini Courses is a leisure-learning program for adults established in 1973, at Northwestern University. The program offers a wide variety of non-credit, recreational, classes for adults. Classes are focused yet take place in a relaxed, informal environment. Most classes take place weekly in the evening to provide an escape from the daily academic or work routine. Mini Courses offers multi-week courses, which take place over 4-6 weeks, and workshops, which meet once or twice per academic quarter. We run for four sessions over the course of the year: Fall (September - November), Winter (January - March), Spring (April - June), and Summer (July - August). Mini Courses are open to Northwestern students and staff with a modest subsidy, and to members of the wider community unaffiliated with Northwestern.
