Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated local Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to join our engineering team in Sarawak. The successful candidate will manage the entire lifecycle of instrumentation systems, spanning from instrument selection and technical evaluation to procurement support, site installation, and construction supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1) Instrument Selection & Engineering:

• Review project specifications, perform sizing calculations (valves, flowmeters, etc.), and select appropriate instruments.

2) Technical Procurement & Bidding:

• Prepare Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), Material Requisition (MR) documents, and review vendor data sheets to support purchasing activities.

3) Site Construction & Installation:

• Supervise on-site instrumentation works, including cable laying, junction box installation, instrument mounting, and impulse piping construction.

4) Testing & Commissioning:

• Oversee and execute loop testing, calibration, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning activities in compliance with safety standards.

5) Vendor & Subcontractor Management:

• Coordinate with local subcontractors and international vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to engineering standards.

6) Local Compliance:

• Ensure all engineering and construction activities strictly comply with Malaysian regulations (DOSH, CIDB) and international codes (IEC, ISA, API).

Requirements & QualificationsEducation:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related discipline.

Skills:

• Proficient in preparing instrument indexes, data sheets, hook-up drawings, and wiring diagrams. Strong knowledge of major instrument brands and local vendor markets.

Language:

• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken fluently).

Certifications:

• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is highly preferred. Valid CIDB green card and Sarawak local status are major advantages.

Wage average:

• Engineer back ground but less than 2 years Instrument engineer experience : 3,500 RM ~

• Engineer back ground but more than 2 years Instrument engineer experience : 4,200 RM ~

• Engineer back ground but more than 5 years Instrument engineer experience : 4,800 RM ~
