Instrument Engineer

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. System Maintenance & Calibration

• Supervise the testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic instruments, actuators, control valves, and sensors (temperature, pressure, flow, pH).
• Establish preventative maintenance schedules to reduce plant downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Conduct data-driven root-cause analyses for technical equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective actions.

2. Automation & Design Integration

• Program, configure, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, HMIs, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Develop and interpret technical documents, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), loop diagrams, hook-ups, data sheets, and wiring schematics.
• Drive factory digitization roadmaps by integrating modern Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, network tools, and industrial IoT protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).

3. Capital Project Management & Commissioning

• Lead the instrumentation and automation scope for capital projects (CAPEX) from initial feasibility studies through to execution.
• Manage Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), alongside loop checks and final equipment commissioning.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and system integrators to ensure deliverables finish on time and within budget.

4. Compliance, Safety & Governance

• Enforce safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc-flash risk assessments, and secure work permits.
• Ensure adherence to international and local engineering standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, NFPA, and local statutory requirements) alongside Process Safety standards like SIL and PL.
• Maintain flawless documentation of service logs, calibration reports, statutory compliance folders, and inventory management systems.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
