Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Instrument Technician for our ethanol manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant instrumentation and control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation equipment.
• Install, calibrate, inspect, and troubleshoot pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters.
• Maintain and troubleshoot control valves, pneumatic instruments, sensors, and switches.
• Handle calibration and maintenance of instruments used in process control systems.
• Work with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems for instrument-related troubleshooting.
• Inspect and maintain field instruments, control loops, and associated wiring.
• Identify instrumentation faults and take corrective action to minimize plant downtime.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, testing, and loop checking of instruments.
• Maintain calibration records, maintenance logs, and instrument history.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and production teams for smooth plant operations.
• Follow plant safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and PPE requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or a relevant technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial instrumentation maintenance.
• Candidates with experience in ethanol manufacturing units and distilleries will be given first preference.
• Practical knowledge of industrial process instruments, transmitters, control valves, and calibration equipment.
• Basic understanding of PLC/DCS systems, control loops, and process automation.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and attend breakdown maintenance as required.

Required Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and instrument calibration skills.
• Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
• Understanding of industrial process control and automation.
• Ability to read instrumentation diagrams, loop diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Good coordination, problem-solving, and safety awareness.

Salary & Shift Details

• Salary (CTC): ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and technical skills.
• Shift: Rotational shifts as per plant requirements.
• Work Location: Ethanol Manufacturing Unit / Distillery Plant.
• Experience: 3–5 years, with preference for candidates from ethanol manufacturing units and distilleries.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in instrumentation maintenance at ethanol plants, grain-based distilleries, or similar process industries will be preferred.
