Instrumentation Supervisor

Purpose of the role: Own instrumentation installation, loop checking, and calibration on client plants, and make sure every loop is tested, documented, and handed over right the first time.

Location: Based in Mumbai, with site deployment in [Maharashtra / Gujarat]
Compensation: 35,000 to 45000 per month CTC, site expenses will be allocated based on requirement

What you will do:

• Lead and supervise instrument technicians on site
• Supervise installation of field instruments (transmitters, control valves, switches, analyzers), impulse tubing, instrument cable trays, and junction boxes
• Read P&IDs, loop diagrams, instrument index, hook-updrawings, and datasheets
• Carry out and witness calibration, loop checking, and function testing with the client and DCS/PLC team
• Handle cable termination, glanding, and marshalling cabinet work, including intrinsically safe circuits
• Maintain calibration records, loop check sheets, and punch lists, and prepare commissioning dossiers
• Enforce permit-to-work, LOTO, and hazardous-area safety discipline

Must have:

• Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical, or BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation
• [2-4] years of field instrumentation experience in process industries (petrochemical, pharma, chemical)
• Can read P&IDs and loop diagrams without help
• Hands-on calibration and loop-checking experience with HART communicators and calibrators
• Willing to travel and stay at sites in Maharashtra and Gujarat

Good to have:

• Experience with hazardous-area instrumentation (intrinsically safe, flameproof)
• Exposure to DCS/PLC systems and fieldbus (HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus)
• Experience with pharma validation documentation (IQ/OQ support)
• Familiarity with client documentation and ISO 9001 practices
