Instrumentation Technician

• The scope of the position is to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of industrial instruments, which include, electronic monitoring, metering, controlling, signaling devices used in petrochemical process industry

Operational

• Install, repair, and maintain plant control and process monitoring instrumentation. This includes electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and microprocessor-based control and monitoring systems.
• Read/interpret engineering drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain plant instrumentation systems.
• Observe installed systems to detect hazards and determine the need for adjustments and modifications.
• Ability to use test and calibration equipment to calibrate transmitters and control loops.
• Troubleshooting and rectifying any faults in sheet lines, HTM plant, conveying system, chips cutter system, compressors, chillers, steam boiler, bagging system, weighbridge, wastewater plant, fire detection system and all other systems on site.
• Responsible for the calibration and preventive maintenance of valves / PLC / DCS system, Continuous emission monitoring systems as per the schedule.
• Responsible for the calibration of all types of measuring instruments (flow meter / temperature transmitter / pressure gauges / temp gauges / Pressure transmitters).
• To review and update work order closure history, time function and job details.
• Assisting the Instrument Engineer in any plant modification and carrying out wiring, cable laying and termination work.
• Reporting any breakdown or failure in plant equipment to Instrumentation Engineer and assist team by trouble shooting, repairing the equipment with necessary tools, and measuring instruments.
• Adheres to the health and safety working practices and procedures within the company

Desired Candidate Profile

• A diploma or certificate proven Technical Skills in Instrumentation.
• 3 years or more experience in Petrochemicals/PET resin plant.
• Experience in calibration/repairs of all types of instruments
• Well conversant with working principle of all types of instruments.
• Skills in calibration/repairs of all types of instruments.
• Skills in Reading of Electrical drawings and P&IDs.
• Skills and Knowledge of operation of the systems as Cutters/HTM plant/Boiler/Chillers/Compressors.
• Ability to analyze the problems and solve it systematically following safe procedures
