Insulation Installer

Overview
Right Choice Energy is hiring a full time insulation installer. Must have experience in the construction field, experience doing insulation is preferred. Base pay starts at $24 per hour and pay can be discussed upon interview for someone with experience in the field. For an experienced Forman we offer some of the best pay in the state.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam board, spray foam, and cellulose in walls, ceilings, floors, attics, and crawl spaces.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine insulation specifications and placement.
• Use hand tools (e.g., knives, tape measures) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) safely and efficiently to complete installations.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning or removing old insulation or debris to ensure proper adhesion and fit.
• Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on-site.
• Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure airtight insulation joints and prevent air leaks.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to insulation projects.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction and insulation installation.
• Construction site experience with familiarity in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
• Mechanical knowledge including understanding of HVAC systems, metal stud framing, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, roofing techniques, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry work, concrete finishing, airless paint spraying, and construction painting.
• Ability to fabricate custom insulation solutions using fabrication techniques.
• Experience with construction estimating software or schematics is a plus.
• Knowledge of building codes related to insulation standards and safety protocols.
