We're expanding from private pay to accepting insurance and need someone to lead the transition.

The Neurodiverse Couples Counseling Center, our largest site, is dedicated to providing exceptional mental health services to our community. We specialize in supporting neurodiverse couples, individuals, and families, helping them navigate life's challenges with understanding and compassion.

We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Insurance Specialist to join our team and ensure our services are accessible to a wider range of clients through insurance coverage.

Job Overview:

The Insurance Specialist will be responsible for managing the entire credentialing process with insurance companies and implementing insurance policies within the therapy group.

This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and a thorough understanding of insurance procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with our administrative and clinical teams to develop insurance processes and build our therapy practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Credentialing:

• Manage the application and credentialing process with various insurance companies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credentialing activities.

Insurance Implementation:

• Implement and manage insurance policies and procedures within the therapy group.
• Verify client insurance benefits and eligibility for services.
• Train administrative and clinical staff on insurance policies, billing procedures, and compliance requirements.
• HIPAA training
• Security Risk Analysis
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of insurance claims.
• Resolve any insurance-related issues or discrepancies.

Client Support:

• Assist clients with understanding their insurance benefits and coverage.
• Address client inquiries and concerns regarding insurance and billing.

Qualifications:

• Ability to be available to answer questions from admin staff and therapists.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance billing in a mental health or healthcare setting.
• Experience with insurance companies in California.
• Experience with SimplePractice EHR.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
