Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, customer-centric Insurance Agent to join our team. In this role, you will handle a blend of new business and customer account servicing. You will act as a trusted advisor, analyzing client needs, quoting coverage across multiple carriers, and ensuring our existing policyholders receive exceptional support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Licensing:

• Active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty (P&C) license is preferred.
• Life & Health license is a strong plus.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in an insurance agency setting preferred, but we will train a driven candidate.

Tech Savvy:

• Proficient in navigating multi-carrier quoting platforms and agency management systems (IMS) with exceptional attention to detail.

Communication:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policy language simply.

Traits:

• Self-motivated, highly organized, and empathetic with an ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Grow the Portfolio: Proactively identify, qualify, and develop sales leads through networking, referrals, and agency-provided warm leads.
• Assess & Quote: Evaluate prospective clients' risk profiles and design tailored personal (home/auto) and commercial insurance programs.
• Maintain Relationships: Service existing accounts by processing policy changes, assisting with renewals, explaining billing schedules, and handling coverage inquiries.
• Claims Advocacy & Support: Guide clients smoothly through the initial claims reporting process during a loss. Act as a supportive liaison between the insured and the carrier adjusters to monitor progress and advocate for a timely resolution.
• Accurate Documentation: Ensure all client interactions, policy adjustments, and claims updates are logged into our agency management system (IMS) to maintain up-to-date and reliable electronic records.
• Utilize Technology: Efficiently manage daily workflows, downloads, and customer files within our agency management system (IMS).
• Collaborate Daily: Work alongside agency staff and company underwriters to ensure smooth operational transitions and a seamless client onboarding experience.
