Insurance Agent

Job Overview

As an Insurance Agent, you’ll help individuals and businesses understand their coverage options and choose policies that fit their needs. You’ll build lasting client relationships through responsive service, clear communication, and thoughtful follow-up. This role combines insurance sales, customer service, and sales administration, with opportunities to work across personal and commercial coverage.

Duties

• Identify prospective clients through outside sales, retail sales, telemarketing, and referrals; learn about their coverage needs and explain suitable options.
• Discuss health, life, and property and casualty insurance, as well as commercial insurance and benefits administration, within applicable regulations.
• Prepare quotes and applications, negotiate policy terms where appropriate, and maintain accurate records in a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
• Follow up with clients, support policy servicing, and coordinate with insurers to resolve questions and keep applications moving.
• Your impact: Clear guidance and timely follow-up help clients make informed coverage decisions and receive dependable service.

Experience

• Strong customer service, customer relationship building, client communication, and negotiation skills.
• Sales experience is valuable; outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance sales, insurance regulation, and health, life, property and casualty, or commercial insurance is helpful; not every coverage area is required.
• Sales administration, analysis skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and a CRM system support accurate, organized work.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
