York Alliance Insurance Brokers is seeking a motivated and client-focused Insurance Broker to join our team in Markham. With roots in the insurance industry dating back to 1980 through predecessor firms, York Alliance brings decades of experience, market relationships, and technical expertise to both personal and commercial insurance clients. This opportunity is available on a part-time or full-time basis and is ideal for individuals looking to build or expand a long-term career in the insurance industry with exposure to both traditional and complex risks.

About the Role

As an Insurance Broker at York Alliance, you will work with personal and commercial clients to assess risk, provide tailored insurance solutions, and build long-term client relationships. You will have access to strong markets, internal technical support, and structured training across a wide range of industries and coverages.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for both licensed brokers and individuals looking to obtain their RIBO license, which we support and provide.

Compensation Structure

• Licensed RIBO Brokers ($50,000 average - $200k+)

Compensation for licensed brokers is based on a 100% commission model. Experienced RIBO license holders are welcome to transfer existing books of business. This structure allows brokers to earn uncapped income while building long-term residual value through renewals.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on appropriate personal and commercial insurance solutions
• Develop and manage client relationships through professional, consultative service
• Identify coverage needs and recommend risk management solutions
• Support new business development and cross-selling opportunities
• Work closely with internal commercial and specialty teams on complex risks
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and brokerage standards

Licensing & Qualifications

• RIBO License highly preferred (support provided for candidates not yet licensed)
• Fluent English required (spoken and written)
• Additional language skills are a strong asset, particularly:
• Polish
• Mandarin
• Cantonese
• Korean
• Farsi
• Romanian
• Spanish
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good general business knowledge is a strong plus

Training & Professional Development
