About the role

Banzen Motors Sdn Bhd is seeking an Insurance Clerk to join our dynamic insurance and claims team in Melaka. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our claims processing operations. As an Insurance Clerk, you will be responsible for managing administrative and clerical tasks related to insurance claims, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery to our clients. This role is essential to maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our claims department.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and documenting insurance claims submissions from clients and third parties
• Verifying claim information and cross-referencing policy details to ensure accuracy
• Organising and maintaining detailed records of claims files, both physical and digital
• Communicating with clients, service providers and other departments to gather necessary claim documentation
• Data entry and updating claims management systems with relevant information
• Assisting with the preparation of claims reports and statistical information
• Handling correspondence related to claims inquiries and follow-ups
• Supporting claims assessors and managers with administrative requirements
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant insurance regulations

What we're looking for

• A minimum of secondary education or equivalent qualification
• Proven clerical or administrative experience, preferably within an insurance or claims environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Familiarity with insurance claims procedures and terminology is advantageous
• Professional demeanour and customer service orientation
