About The Role A Day in the Life

Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and Technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Minimed’s Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Executes on established departmental objectives and assignments which affect the immediate operation, but that also have full revenue cycle and company-wide fiscal impact.

• Initiates follow-up activities with third-party payors regarding open claim balances; makes written and verbal inquiries to payors.
• Analyzes and problem solve account issues to full resolution.
• Manages internal and external customer/business inquiries regarding account status and account history.
• Research issues off-line as needed with payor/patient; conducts follow-up calls with payors and customers, initiating conference calls between insurance carriers and patients to resolve customer concerns.
• Research and initiates refund requests due to overpayments by payor and/or patient.
• Determines when claims/accounts are deemed uncollectable; recommends and initiates bad debt write-offs procedures.

OFFICE SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Individual contributors who provide organizational related support or service (administrative or clerical) for other members within the organization. The majority of time is spent in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision.

DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy: Established and productive individual contributor. Works on clerical and administrative assignments that may require application of prior experience. Works under moderate supervision, making minor adjustments to methods and processes.

Organizational Impact: Works to deliver on day-to-day objectives with direct impact on achievement of results for the job area, including moderate scheduling or customer satisfaction implications. Work consists of tasks that are typically routine, with some deviation from standard practice .

Innovation and Complexity: Checks and makes minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that are routine and typically exist in current work processes and systems . May be required to highlight areas of concerns/problems and puts forth solutions in own job area.

Communication and Influence: Communicates typically with internal contacts within and outside of immediate team. Obtains and provides information requiring some explanation or interpretation .

Leadership and Talent Management: May provide guidance and assistance to new or entry level employees.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires full job knowledge of systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education. Requires minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
