Insurance Manager

About the role

Lead the strategy, development, enhancement, and lifecycle management of insurance products. This role will work closely with business, technology, operations, underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that insurance products meet customer needs, business objectives, regulatory requirements, and market demands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end insurance product lifecycle, from product ideation and design through implementation, launch, monitoring, and continuous enhancement.
• Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities.
• Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to identify opportunities for new products and improvements to existing insurance offerings.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, operations, technology, sales, marketing, finance, and compliance teams to develop and launch insurance products.
• Translate business and customer requirements into clear product requirements, features, processes, and user stories.
• Define product scope, priorities, success metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage product backlogs and prioritize initiatives based on business value, customer impact, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility.
• Partner with technology and delivery teams to ensure successful product implementation and system enhancements.
• Monitor product performance, profitability, customer experience, adoption, and operational metrics, recommending improvements where necessary.
• Ensure products comply with applicable insurance regulations, governance standards, internal policies, and risk requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in insurance, preferably with experience in Product Management, Product Development, Business Analysis, or Digital Transformation.
• Strong understanding of the insurance industry and insurance product lifecycle.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional product initiatives from concept through implementation and post-launch optimization.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, product management practices, and product roadmapping.
• Experience working with technology and software development teams in delivering product enhancements or digital solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of customer experience, process improvement, and data-driven product decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
